1909 - H.G. Mellick publishes The Indians and our Indian Missions 

Henry G. Mellick was a Canadian Baptist denominational leader and interpreter of mission responsibility in the early twentieth century. Mellick’s The Indians and Our Indian Missions presented a 19th-century Baptist perspective on missionary efforts among Indigenous peoples. Writing from within the cultural and theological assumptions of his time, Mellick framed Indigenous missions as a moral and spiritual obligation of the church, emphasizing evangelism, education, and denominational coordination.
