1760–1761 - Halifax Treaties

In 1760-61, the British signed several treaties with nine different Mi’kmaq communities in Nova Scotia. These treaties effectively ended the threat of military actions between the two parties and, while another treaty was signed in 1779, that new treaty made no major modifications to the treaties of 1760-61.
