1994–1996 - Evangelical Fellowship of Canada works on Indigenous Relations 

The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada began its Indigenous relations work by listening to Indigenous Christian leaders through a gathering on the traditional lands of Treaty One Nations in southern Manitoba and by participating in the 1995 Sacred Assembly, which led to the Reconciliation Proclamation. This early period also saw the creation of the Aboriginal Task Force (later the Aboriginal Ministries Council), which worked for over a decade to build relationships, educate churches, and address the findings of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.
