1794–1881 - Charles Tupper

A prominent Nova Scotian politician and Baptist lay leader; Tupper played a key role in strengthening Baptist institutions in the 19th century. He supported Acadia College (now University), promoted education for ministers, and championed religious freedom. His leadership helped elevate Baptists’ social and political influence within Maritime and Canadian society.
