Health & Wellness
The health, well-being and safety of students is a top priority at Acadia. Students are provided many resources to assist them while studying. You can find out all about the resources available to you here. Some of these resources include:
Health Insurance
Full-time students are automatically enrolled in health and dental plans at the beginning of each academic year. If a student has comparable coverage, they can submit an opt out application by the deadline (normally the end of September) and include proof of their alternate comparable coverage. You can read about health insurance here.
Recreation
While studying, exercise is a great way to stay healthy, both physically and mentally. We encourage students to check out the recreation opportunities offered through Acadia University including use of the athletic facilities and walking trails in and around the campus, as well as opportunities in club and intramural sports. Check out Acadia University Recreation to discover what they have to offer you!
Local Health Centres
Acadia University has a health centre with physicians with which you can book appointments. They also list medical care that is off campus including hospitals, local clinics, and pharmacies. You can find out more here.

Acadia Divinity College – Chapel
Acadia Divinity College is a learning community. We are also a faith community that recognizes the importance of gathering to worship. Every Wednesday morning throughout term, the students, staff, and faculty, as well as alumni and visitors, gather to pray, praise, and listen to Scripture read and preached. The atmosphere is friendly, our worship contemporary and heartfelt, and the preaching of high quality. For those unable to attend in person, we make services available online.
