Marcelo Vargas Lives in La Paz, Bolivia, South America with Silvana wife and their children Priscila (34) and Elias (31).
He was born in Cochabamba, a Quechua Andean valley. He has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering in Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil, MA in Missiology at Centro Evangelico de Missoes; and PhD thesis submitted in Intercultural studies in relation to Bolivian Indigenous Pentecostalism.
He is Director of Centro de Capacitacion Misionera given a Integral Mission focus to a yearly post graduate program in Mission. Most of his time works with churches with Aimara indigenous background in suburb areas. He has lived and worked in Brazil and England and traveled to all continents presenting published papers about Globalization, Contextual Theology and Integral Mission.
He was member of Fraternidad Teologica Latinoamericana (Latin America Theological Fellowship) board and executive secretary from 2012 to 2016; and member of the core group of INFEMIT, International Fellowship for Mission as Transformation.
