Dr. Jonathan Wilson
Senior Consultant for Theological Integration, Canadian Baptist Ministries

Jonathan Wilson was raised in the Southern US but has lived most of his adult life in Canada. He has served Christ for over 50 years as a labourer, entrepreneur, business manager, pastor, professor, and now as a theological consultant for Canadian Baptist Ministries, which has enabled him to learn from God’s people on five continents.

Jonathan spent 30 years in higher education, with full-time appointments at Westmont College, Acadia Divinity College, and Carey Theological College. In addition to his work with CBM, Jonathan is Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the International Baptist Theological Study Centre, Amsterdam, and Senior Fellow at the Centre for Missional Leadership, St. Andrew’s Hall, Vancouver. Jonathan’s calling has been to assist God’s people to connect our convictions with how we live in relation to God, other humans, the larger creation, and self. During his academic service, he has been active in local churches, preaching, teaching, visiting, serving as interim pastor, and chairing boards and committees.

His wife, Soohwan Park, is a native of South Korea who for more than 25 years has served mission agencies and other Christian organizations as an educationalist, staff trainer, consultant, and board member. Currently, she chairs the board of A Rocha International.

Jonathan and Soohwan live in Nanaimo, BC, on the unceded and traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw people.
