Rev. John Campbell is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick (Bachelor of Computer Science), Acadia University (Master of Divinity, Youth Ministry), and the Arrow Leadership Program.
Previous to serving at Acadia, John served as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor of West End Baptist Church in St. John’s Newfoundland from 2007-2014. In 2008 he was ordained by the church into Christian ministry. In this role he oversaw various ministries aimed at introducing youth and young adults to Christ as well as helping them grow deeper in their faith. He also provided significant leadership to the Newfoundland Baptist Youth Association which ran events such as SpringForth NL and Young Adult Kamp (YAK). He also served as the chair of the Avalon Youth Ministries, which brought together churches from various denominations for events and missions opportunities.
Born and raised in the Maritimes, John’s mission is to communicate the Gospel effectively, and to help others do the same. With backgrounds in various ministry settings and also the IT world, he loves living where faith and technology intersect. John seeks to weave together the best in communication technologies and techniques to allow more people to hear the Gospel more clearly.
He currently resides in Kentville, Nova Scotia with his wife Sara and two children, Lilly and Micah.
