About the Bursary
The John Gladstone Bursary was established by the W. Garfield Weston Foundation in recognition of the ministry of Dr. John Gladstone and his outstanding achievements at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, Toronto, ON. This bursary is for a student in need of financial support who is preparing for Baptist ministry and has completed at least 30 credit hours in any program at Acadia Divinity College.
The Bursary is for a student in need of financial support who is preparing for Baptist ministry and who has completed at least 30 credit hours in any undergraduate or graduate degree program.
The Scholarship and Awards Committee of Acadia Divinity College (ADC) will review all applications received by the deadline and make selections based on the criteria presented for each award. Students are invited to reapply each year.
Value and Duration
Each scholarship is awarded to one student who has successfully completed their first 30 credit hours of theological education at Acadia Divinity College. All recipients must continue to be enrolled at Acadia Divinity College to receive the award. The amount of the award varies dependent upon available funds.
The deadline to apply for the 2023-2024 John Gladstone Bursary is Friday, March 31, 2023. Successful applicants will be notified by April 28, 2023.
