What is the Sandbox?

The Sandbox for Theological Education & the Church is part of ADC’s Futuring Lab, empowering experiments in contextual, intercultural, and transformative education in classrooms and churches. We are leveraging insights from ADC’s Futuring Hub, leading-edge scholarship on teaching and learning, and our partners at NAIITS: An Indigenous Learning Community to imagine discipleship for the future in Atlantic Canada and beyond.

We are passionate about preparing leaders for the church and other contexts of ministry, supporting them to thrive in our increasingly diverse, rapidly-changing world. Our resources help cultivate change agents that embody Christian stories and effect faithful change in contexts across the globe. We offer webinars, workshops, micro-credentials, and consulting for faculty, Christian leaders, churches, and theological schools, and we can adapt resources to make them most useful in your context. Many of our current experiments emphasize the ethical use of AI technologies in teaching and learning.
