Pastoral Care and Counselling

The spiritual health of a congregation is at the heart of pastoral care and counselling. At Acadia Divinity College we prepare you to lead a congregation to care and support one another.

The pastoral care and counselling specialization does not lead to a professional counsellor designation; however, you will be well-trained to provide support for those facing mental health concerns, struggling with addictions, at risk of suicide, or dealing with grief and loss.

The Charles J. Taylor Centre for Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care, a centre of excellence at Acadia Divinity College, fosters and promotes clinical and theological excellence in the area of Pastoral Care through personal growth, the building of professional capacities and rigorous theological reflection in the area of pastoral care.
