On the East Coast, when company comes over, we put on the kettle. Offering a cup of tea or coffee is a powerful way we show hospitality. Sitting on the stove, hanging over a campfire, or plugged in on the counter: the kettle symbolizes gathering, acceptance and belonging.
This Giving Tuesday, help us “Keep the Kettle On!” as we build community through hospitality. Every week, we host a weekly teatime and a community meal, which are intentional moments when we stop, extend hospitality, and create a place for students to be known and belong.
