Special Guests

Dr. Wanda Malcolm
Wanda Malcolm has recently retired from her position as Professor of Pastoral Psychology at Wycliffe College where her teaching focused on the knowledge and skills essential to forging a sustainable life of faithful ministry. Her emphasis was on the crucial role of self-responsibility, and the importance of ongoing prayerful engagement in practices that replenish spiritual and psychological resilience.
Dr. Malcolm will be delivering a Pastoral Psychology seminar on Tuesday, June 13th.
Wanda continues to work as a clinical psychologist and takes joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband especially enjoy family gatherings at their cottage where kayaking, gardening, crafting, reading fiction, and playing board games are among Wanda’s favorite restorative pastimes.

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove
Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove is a celebrated spiritual writer and sought-after speaker. A native of North Carolina, he is a graduate of Eastern University and Duke Divinity School.
In 2003, Jonathan and his wife Leah founded the Rutba House, a house of hospitality where the formerly homeless share community with the formerly housed. Jonathan directs the School for Conversion, a popular education center that works to make “surprising friendships possible.” He is also an Associate Minister at the historically black Saint John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
Jonathan will be delivering the 2023 Simpson Lectures.

Dr. Robert Strang
Robert began his career in Nova Scotia’s healthcare system in 1999 as the Medical Officer of Health for the Capital District Health Authority. He joined the Government of Nova Scotia in 2007 as the acting Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health of the Department of Health Promotion and Protection before becoming Chief Medical Officer of Health.
Dr. Strang will participate in a panel discussion on the church and public health as part of our East Coast Theology Volume One launch event.
