The Future of Innovation: From Research to Shared Discernment
Over the past months, the Future of Innovation initiative has examined how innovation is being reshaped across the Canadian Christian landscape. Through theo-futures research, theological reflection, and insights from leaders across the country, we have identified the deeper forces influencing how innovation is emerging today and how it may unfold toward 2040.
Hosted by the MacRae Centre for Christian Faith and Culture, this free, 90-minute online event invites leaders from churches, denominations, parachurch ministries, Christian organizations, and theological institutions into a national act of shared discernment.
Rather than presenting conclusions, we will engage selected signals and drivers from the research in facilitated small-group rooms. Together, participants will:
- Identify what is genuinely changing in their lived contexts
- Name where current approaches are beginning to strain
- Surface the theological and relational strengths they already carry
- Imagine one faithful, testable next step appropriate to their setting
Together we will engaged in a guided futures-oriented theological sensemaking process designed to help you interpret your context more clearly and respond more faithfully. This will be an opportunity to step back, read the signs of the times, and consider how innovation in your context can remain both adaptive and faithfully rooted.
