Creation and Transformation
Designation: DMIN 8483This course will examine the theologies of Creation, including the intention of God for creation, and the role of humanity in the development and maintenance of the created order, found in the Christian Scriptures. The course will also discuss the praxis that emerged from these theologies within the church and, through the church the wider Western world, to seek to understand the impacts of past and present Christian thought. Juxtaposed with this examination will be a parallel engagement with several creation narratives of Indigenous communities, examining their self-understanding of humanitys place and role, with respect to creation.
