Start your Application

Complete the Divinity application form. Do not complete the Online Learning application.
Applying online takes about 15 minutes. You can come back to the application form anytime; just make sure you save the sections you have completed before exiting.
Application for the Certificate in Ministerial Studies and the Certificate in Lay Leadership.

Pay the Processing Fee

The non-refundable fee can be paid online with a credit card as part of the application.
- Undergraduate Fee: $40 (CAD)
- Graduate Fee: $50 (CAD)
International students wishing to pay by cheque or bank transfer, please contact adcadmissions@acadiau.ca

Submit Required Documents

Please request official transcripts from all institutions to be mailed directly to:

Mature applicants to undergraduate programs and all graduate applicants will be required to submit a resume. Please include your education, work, and ministry experience.
As part of the application process, certain programs require a reference form or letter of support.
Bachelor of Theology (Ordination Track) and Master of Divinity Applicant
- Recommendations required: One (1)
- Your recommender is someone who you know in a pastoral context, has known you for a minimum of 2 years, is at least 21 years of age, and is not related to you. This person will be emailed a Pastoral Reference Form.
Master of Arts (Theology) Applicants
- Recommendations required: One (1)
- Your recommender is someone who knows you in an academic, professional, or ministry context. This person will be asked to submit a letter of reference and will be prompted with an email once you submit their contact information on your application.
Doctor of Ministry Applicants
- Recommendations required: One (1)
- Your recommender is someone who knows you and your current ministry situation, and who can recommend your suitability for the program. This person will be asked to submit a letter of reference and will be prompted with an email once you submit their contact information on your application.
Those applying to the Bachelor of Theology (Ordination Track), Certificate in Christian Studies, Master of Divinity, Master of Arts (Theology), and Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies are required to provide a letter of intent. Please include relevant information on who you are, why you are applying to our program, and what your goals are. Do not exceed one (1) page.
Doctor of Ministry applicants are asked to evaluate your own ministry, your motivation for applying, and your objectives for future ministry. A Self-Study form will be part of your checklist in your Applicant Status Portal for you to complete.
Doctor of Ministry applicants are required to submit an essay-format paper from their highest completed degree.
If we require additional documents, they will be included in your checklist.

Receive a Decision

Once you’ve submitted all the required documents, your application will be reviewed by ADC’s Admissions Committee. Review times can vary.
All applicants will be notified of the decision via the Applicant Status Portal

Canadian Students

Doctor of Ministry Students
- Fall Session (September) Application Deadline: September 1
International Students
Fall Session (begins in September):

International students are not eligible to begin the program during our Summer semester. Exceptions can be made for those wishing to complete their program entirely online from their home country.

**Group 2 – Caribbean, Central America, Bermuda, Greenland, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, South America, Europe, Oceania
