In the most recent booklet in this series, Rev. Roger H. Prentice explores the fascinating life of Rev. John Howard MacDonald, a significant Pastor in the Maritime Provinces, professor of church history at Acadia University, and chaplain during the Great War. This work showcases nicely the work that can be done at the Acadia University Archives and Special Collections. Having just passed the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the fighting of the First World War and during the year in which the war officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, this booklet is a very timely “chronicle” of the important contribution that one Maritime Baptist minister made during the 1914-1918 conflict that forever changed the world.
