Please join us in welcoming Catherine Cole as Manager of Recruitment and Admissions.
In this new role, Catherine will work with churches, pastors, denominations, educational institutions, faculty, staff and alumni to identify potential students and to walk applicants through the entire admissions process.
Raised in Minto, New Brunswick, Catherine has served as a lay leader in many areas of the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC). She has volunteered in youth ministry in three local churches: United Baptist Church of Minto (Minto NB), West End Baptist Church (St. John’s NL) and Immanuel Baptist Church (Truro NS). Catherine has also provided leadership as Vice-President of the Atlantic Baptist Youth, a member of the Springforth planning team, and a member of the CBAC Youth and Family working group.
Catherine’s ministry experience also extends globally. She led mission tours to serve at Kamp Tumaini, Kenya in partnership with CBAC and Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM). Kamp Tumaini, a Guardians of Hope program by CBM, seeks to help families and communities affected by HIV/Aids.
“I am very excited to be joining the team at Acadia Divinity College,” says Catherine. “I look forward to working with our many partners to discover individuals who are called to serve Christ. Theological education is vitally important for healthy long-term ministry, and I am looking forward to helping to equip Christians to serve.”
Since graduating from Memorial University (St. John’s NL) with her Bachelor of Kinesiology, Catherine has been working as an Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator at Commercial Safety College in Masstown NS. In this role, she has gained excellent experience in recruitment and admissions practices.
Catherine has a passion for travelling, photography, reading, food, and working with youth. She will begin her service at Acadia Divinity College on December 4, 2017, and will work closely with Dr. Stephen McMullin, Academic Dean, and Rev. John Campbell, Director of Advancement.
