Dr. Jody Linkletter is a graduate of Crandall University (BA Hons; Youth Leadership Certificate), Acadia University (MDiv,) and the University of Warwick (PhD). Her PhD thesis examined the personal and spiritual profile of committed Baptist youth in Atlantic Canada and her areas of interest are empirical theology, adolescents, youth ministry, young adults, and family ministry. She has lectured in a variety of settings, using data gathered from Canadian Christian youth to help ministry leaders contextualize ministry to these youth and their families.

Prior to joining ADC, Jody was the Interim Director and Associate Director in the Youth and Family Ministries department of the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada where she served between 2004 and 2014. In this role she oversaw Springforth, one of Canada’s largest youth conferences, was an advisor to the Atlantic Baptist Youth executive, and oversaw young adult initiatives. She also organized the LINK clergy escape weekend, developed a partnership with Family Life Canada to provide quality parenting and marriage seminars in this region, as well as started developing a network for Christian Education Leaders / Children’s Pastors. She has also served on the staff of several churches in Atlantic Canada including First Baptist Moncton, New Brunswick, Atlantic Community Church, Apohaqui, New Brunswick, and Faith Baptist in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.

Born and raised in the Maritimes, Jody has a heart for ministry both in this region and beyond. With a rich history of serving at camps, churches, providing leadership at the national level on issues like youth ministry and international development, and a variety of cross-cultural experiences, she developed a deep passion to connect, encourage, and equip youth, youth leaders, and their families in order to make a difference in their lives. Through her PhD studies, she has developed a passion and desire to equip families and encourage them in their journey as they seek to raise committed Christian children.

She currently resides in Truro, Nova Scotia with her husband, Micah, and her daughter.
